Let me introduce myself...
My name is Austin Drexler! I have a dual Bachelor's degree in Game Simulation and Electronic Arts from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.F.A. in Interactive Media from the University of Southern California. I grew up in Texas, but I've moved around quite a bit before finally setting my sights on Los Angeles. I am a game designer balanced with solid game play programming and scripting experience in Unity and creating art assets for games. Recently I have taken on the role of Lead Designer on a small team communicating with people from various disciplines and collaborating with other companies to help maintain the vision of the project. My goal is to be a seasoned game designer. I enjoy skateboarding, eating pancakes, and learning new things. I am interested in designing engaging gameplay within interesting settings.

My favorite videogame and why?
My favorite videogame would have to be Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. It was one of the smoothest platformers I've ever played, and it had a near perfect balance between narrative, visuals, and game mechanics. With the exception of that ridiculous elevator axis puzzle, there was never a dull moment in the pacing. My favorite thing about POP, by far, is the combat system (which was further improved upon in the sequel, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within). This was some of the earliest multi-directional combat mechanics ever to be implemented well in 3D and it quite possibly influenced combat in later titles such as Assassin's Creed and Batman Arkham Asylum.
